The highly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War has finished filming in Durham Cathedral, one of the film’s many locations this week. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo gave a press conference to mark the occasion, together with Reverend Andrew Tremlett, the Dean of the cathedral.
The Dean thanked the nearly 1,000 staff and volunteers who helped during the filming. He also pointed out that the Cathedral has also been used for the Harry Potter movies and that it still gets many visitors for that reason.
Although they could not get into many plot details, Joe and Anthony Russo did explain that the Cathedral will feature in several scenes but not as a church.

Avengers: Infinity War will be released on May 4, 2018.
