Is ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ filming in NYC this weekend?

Avengers: Infinity War began filming in Atlanta, GA at the beginning of 2017 before moving to the U.K., where filming most recently took place at Durham Cathedral.

But, it was also reported the film would spend some time shooting in New York as well, and that time might be now. According to one of our regular tipsters there is a rumor that a movie called Mary Lou, the movie’s working title, will be filming exteriors around New York this weekend, May 19 – 22.

We haven’t seen any casting calls or filming permits for the movie yet, but, it is interesting to note that just a few weeks ago crews were scouting locations in the Hudson Valley for a Marvel project, too.

Be on the lookout for any signs of Mary Lou around NYC (and the Hudson Valley) this weekend and be sure to let us know if you spot something at olv@onlocationvacations.com or @olv!

Avengers: Infinity War is being directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo. It stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Benedict Cumberbatch, Pom Klementieff, Peter Dinklage, Tom Holland, and. Terry Notary. The movie is set to hit theaters on May 4, 2018.

  1. There was a casting call posted in mid-March to MovieCastingCall for “Mary Lou” in New York, and it also stated that shooting was scheduled for May 19th—but it seems that has since been changed to “Summer, 2017” on the same posting.
(Hopefully they film here soon! Would be so cool to see them!)

  2. Thanks for the update! I checked CastingNetwork last night and there was nothing, so that would make sense that it was pushed thanks!

  3. I have a theory…they are still filming Jessica Jones in NYC. Maybe they’re waiting until that’s finished shooting before they start working on Avengers?
