A major motion picture is being filmed in the most unlikely of places – an old AT&T building in White Plains, NY.

We’ve just learned the Untitled Steven Spielberg Project, starring Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep, will be filming in the AT&T building, near Route 22/North Broadway and Barker Ave -Hamilton Ave in White Plains, for the next few weeks.

The movie features Hanks and Streep as Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee and publisher Kay Graham who, in 1971, battled the federal government for the right to publish the Pentagon Papers. For those too young to remember, the Pentagon Papers were a leaked study from the Department of Defense that “detailed the U.S. government’s military involvement in Vietnam.”

After The Washington Post and New York Times both released portions of the papers, the U.S. Department of Justice obtained a temporary restraining order against any further publication because they felt it was detrimental to U.S. national security. The two papers joined together to fight the order in court and won in the Supreme Court which ruled the government had failed to prove harm to national security, and that the publication was within the papers’ First Amendment rights. Though it is set in the 1970s, the movie’s themes seem especially timely given today’s political climate.

The currently Untitled Steven Spielberg Project movie was going by The Paper and is now using the working title Nor’easter.

There is no word as to what scenes they are filming in the building but, we would assume – since it is an old office building – that they have recreated the Washington Post offices inside.

A huge thank you to @JonUPS_ for the scoop! If you have any news about the Untitled Steven Spielberg filming in White Plains, let us know about it at olv@onlocationvacations.com!

  1. The outside looks slightly like the actual Washington Post building in DC. Maybe they will shoot the outside of it. Remember that SALT faked exteriors of the nearby County office building to double as DC, so maybe this project will shoot in the same vicinity as these are 1970’s era buildings.

  3. The difficulty gradient of courses written by CS https://www.academicsaviour.com/cs-dai-xie is quite large. For students who only follow the course requirements and have less additional experience, some courses (such as operating systems) may suddenly increase in difficulty than the previous semesters. The test criterion of the experiment is to run correctly. Few mentions of unit testing, code style, time and space complexity analysis, security, etc., and students have not been exposed to common technologies and tools. As a result, after graduation, a large number of students still do not understand version control, debugging (such as analyzing memory leaks), testing, and inputting legality and safety are not considered when writing programs. At the same time, students’ abilities of “finding wheels”, “using wheels”, data retrieval and reading English documents are hardly cultivated, and these abilities are almost essential skills for computer majors.
