Amy Schumer’s new movie ‘I Feel Pretty’ to start filming in Massachusetts

Massachusetts has recently been the location of many upcoming productions, such as “X-Men: The New Mutants,” “Daddy’s Home 2,” “The Burning Woman,” “Proud Mary,” and “Slender Man”. A new addition to this list is Amy Schumer’s new comedy “I Feel Pretty”.

The movie tells the story of Renee Bennett (Schumer), a woman who knows what is like to be considered less attractive than others. One day, however, she hits her head and wakes up under the impression that her body changed and that she is gorgeous, even though she looked exactly the same to everyone else.

Michelle Williams, nominated for an Oscar earlier this year for “Manchester by the Sea”, will also star as Renee’s idol and boss, Avery LeClaire. Renee’s new confidence in herself will make Avery look at her differently in the company.

“I Feel Pretty” will be directed by Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein, who are also responsible for the script. Both of them have previously written “How to Be Single” and “He’s Just Not That Into You.”

Before her movie hits theaters, there is a chance audiences will be able to see Amy Schumer on Broadway, as Steve Martin reportedly wants her to star on his project “Meteor Shower”. It follows the story of a couple in California in the ’90s who invite another couple to watch a meteor shower with them. She would play Corky, the wife, who is interested in cannibalism.

Despite being the type of project Schumer would be perfect for, negotiations are still ongoing and there has been no confirmation that she is formally attached to the play.
