Whenever Jason Statham agrees to star in an action movie, the fans know they can expect a movie which will keep you on the edge of your seat, with some ass-kicking action. “The Killer Elite” is expected to be no different.
The film, which is based on “The Feather Man” by Ranulph Fiennes, follows the activities of two secret organizations; The Clinic, consisting of three contract killers, and The Feather Men, an underground group of vigilante killers who protect former and present members of the Special Air Service (SAS) and their families.
While pre-production is slated for February, the principal photography is expected to start in April. “The Killer Elite” will be shot on location in metropolitan and regional locations across Victoria, Australia according to the state minister for Innovation, Gavin Jennings.
While the movie is based on the book “The Feather Men” by Sir Ranulph Fiennes, the feature will be directed by the Irish newcomer Gary McKendry. Production will be completed by the Australian company Omnilab Media, who have previously also been credited as executive producers on “The Bank Job” which also starred Statham.
It is expected that the production will cost somewhere around “$29 million and create approximately 250 jobs for Victorians, which is a significant boost to the State’s economy,” Jennings said.
Jason Statham fans won’t have to wait too long before catching a glimpse of their idol in action. Statham is among the star studded cast in Sylvester Stallone’s “The Expendables” where he co-stars with Jet Li and Bruce Willis, furthermore Statham will grace the screen in “The Brazilian Job” which is the sequel to “The Italian Job” which also starred Mark Wahlberg.

Mike, it’s just another fictitious movie loosely based on a fictitious book by a person (Fiennes) who embellishes his military service. It’s not the first movie to be full of shit and it won’t be the last. It’s just a movie; get over it and be still.
