Gerard Butler is reportedly set to bare all in Burns, a £5 million movie about the Scottish poet Robert Burns. Over the weekend, the film’s director, Vadim Jean, said, “Gerard and I are both totally committed to the film. There’s plenty of sex and nude scenes in it. He [Burns] was a notorious rake of his time. We are not whitewashing Burns by any means. He was a complicated character and to do justice to his story is not a simple thing.”
The movie will be shot on location in Ayrshire and Edinburgh, Scotland later this year. But, first, Butler is expected to begin filming a modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s Coriolanus, with Ralph Fiennes, this spring in Europe.
