A ABC new pilot, “The Gates”, began shooting at Stageworks in Shreveport, LA and various locations throughout the region on March 29.
“The Gates”, starring “Prison Break” alum Frank Grillo, is about a big-city cop who becomes a police chief in a small suburban town, where there is more than meets the eye. The show also stars Luke Mably (“The Prince and Me”) as one town’s residents who is a cardiologist/vampirelike creature, Janina Gavankar (“The L Word”) as a local cop with a dark secret and Chandra West (“90210”), who plays the owner of a tea shop.
Film Shreveport-Bossier has posted road closures due to filming on Highway 3049 at the intersection of Sentell Road and a 1 lane closure on Sentell Road on Monday, April 5 from 6 AM to 8 PM. We haven’t confirmed that the traffic interruptions are for “The Gates” but it is likely.
There will also be brief interruptions to traffic today (4.2) onEllerbe Road 1/4 mile North and 1/4 mile South of Robson Road and to include Robson Road in Shreveport which may also be for the filming of “The Gates”.
Update: Road closures are actually for the new Nic Cage movie, Drive Angry. The Gates is in studio on Monday, 4.5.

We were off for Good Friday, and are shooting interiors at Stageworks Monday. So road closures are probably for the other production.

does anyone know where they will be filming in the next week or so. I would love to be able to go and watch. My friend actually met nic cage in best buy the other day and said he was so nice and let her take a pic with him and everything.

Also, I’m not sure about the gates, they might be in studio this week.
The Gates is actually filming in our house in Southern Trace on Weds. April 28th. I believe it’s an afternoon call time.
