‘On The Road’ will be filmed in Montreal, New Orleans & Mexico

It looks like Kirsten Dunst, who just wrapped Upside Down in Montreal, is headed back to the city this fall. The actress has signed on the star in the big screen adaptation of On The Road along with Twilight’s Kristen Stewart.

Today, the Montreal Gazette announced that the movie will begin filming in Montreal this August before moving to New Orleans and Mexico:

The Kerouac adaptation will film here for most of the month of August, before heading south to New Orleans for a month of shooting. Then it shifts even farther south, with the production moving to Mexico for several weeks before returning to Montreal to wrap the final scenes.

This might not be Kristen’s only trip to NOLA this year either. It looks like Summit’s considering New Orleans as the location for the final Twilight film, Breaking Dawn as well.

  1. I know Kristen’s not high on dolling up, but in the above picture, earrings would’ve looked nice on her (not those huge dangling ones, but some dainty solitaires); not that she’s looking hideous or anything, but she would’ve looked even more beautiful. If I’m not mistaken, the above picture of hers is from the Oscars this year (March 2010), I remember that dress of hers…@Brenna She’s not smiling…that’s what is not quite right…

  2. New Orleans will not be the site for breaking dawn its Baton Rouge but close enough 🙂 just clarifying
I wish I knew exactly when they were shooting On the Road in New Orleans
