That’s right, its 9/02/10, better known as 90210 Day to fans of the TV shows(s) and the world’s most famous zip code!
There are several parties and events planned to mark the day throughout the country including a full day of episodes from the original Beverly Hills 90210 and the latest incarnation of the franchise, 90210 at The Paley Center in Los Angeles.
The CW has also altered its schedule in honor of the big day. The network made a few changes to its Thursday line-up to make sure an episode of 90210 will air.
Sports and pop culture writer Bill Simmons, is hosting a podcast devoted to Beverly Hills, 90210 tomorrow too at ESPN.com. Simmons has said he will give out “90210 Awards” like “biggest plot stretch ever.”
But the greatest event of them all is being thrown by the city of Beverly Hills itself:
The “City with the Zip” will be celebrating, Beverly Hills style, on September 2, 2010 (or 9.02.10)! The celebratory festivities kick-off on a grand scale with a world-class event hosted by Larry King and a performance from singing sensation and Grammy nominee, Natasha Bedingfield. Guests will gather on the rooftop of the parking structure adjacent to The Beverly Hilton where they’ll be treated to extraordinary food and drink from the renowned restaurants and chefs of Beverly Hills, including Wolfgang Puck of Spago Beverly Hills and CUT at the Beverly Wilshire. Other Beverly Hills restaurants participating in this exclusive event include The Belvedere at The Peninsula, Bouchon, The Cheese Story of Beverly Hills, Crustacean, Darioush, Enoteco Drago, The Grill on the Alley, Il Pastaio, and Mr. Chow. The celebration continues through the Labor Day weekend with Food & Wine’s Taste of Beverly Hills where guests will celebrate all things epicurean, including live cooking demonstrations from celebrity chefs, restaurant tastings and live musical performances.
