‘Hangover 2’ begins filming in California, next stop Bangkok

This weekend, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha were spotted filming the first scenes of The Hangover 2 at Ontario International Airport in Ontario, California.

In the sequel to 2009’s mega hit, The Hangover, the guys find themselves having another wild night, only this time, they’re going to Bangkok!

Shooting will continue in California for the next couple of weeks but the guys are expected to head to Thailand, where they will film the bulk of the movie, by the end of the month.

Recently, when asked if he is looking forward to traveling to the other side of the world for the shoot, Zack Galifianakis told Collider, “I have never been to the East, I am very much looking forward to it.”

The movie’s director Todd Phillips, who directed the first one, is also looking forward to the trip and promises the second film will not disappoint.  “There’s gonna be some f#cked-up surprises,” Phillips told Empire.  “I know what I’m up against. I saw Meet The Fockers. But we’re aiming high. It’s called The Hangover Part Two, you know,” he added.

The Hangover 2 opens on May 26, 2011.
