Though pre-production started at Steiner Studios in Brooklyn more than a month ago, The NY Post is reporting that production on Men In Black 3 has been halted.

According the the Post, the delay is due to a disagreement between the movie’s star, Will Smith,  director Barry Sonnenfeld, and the film’s producers.

“‘Men in Black 3’ has gone on hiatus again, this time for two weeks, after having shut down for a week and started back up. Smith, Sonnenfeld and the producers have been fighting. The start date for filming had already been put off.”

Of course Sony Studios is denying the allegations, stating, “The only reason production will begin in mid-November as opposed to late October is to take advantage of recent changes affecting New York State film incentives. Suggesting that a disagreement triggered the shift is complete fiction.”

Whatever the reason, it looks like principal photography will be pushed again. The original start date for NYC filming was September 13, which was moved to Monday (October 18), and now it appears they won’t start shooting until November.
