According to one of the movie’s stars, Tyrese Gibson, principal photography for Transformers: Dark of the Moon has wrapped. The actor who plays Epps in the movie sent out several tweets yesterday declaring the movie was done filming:

Confirmed::: Today will be last day of shooting Transformers 3.. Yippy!! God is the greatest .. We made!! Fans we won’t let you down!!

Ladies and Gents we have officially wrapped the filming of Transformers 3

Cheers to my cast and entire crew! We did it baby!! God bless u!

The movie has been filming in L.A., off of Jefferson Blvd, for the past couple of weeks where these shots were snapped Monday.

This likely means that the shoot taking place in NYC later this week (filming is scheduled for 11.12 & 11.13, stay tuned for exact location information) will be second unit only and will not include any of the main cast.

Originally, the movie was also set to shoot at a few international locations (including Russia which plays an important part in the plot), but it looks like some of the scenes shot in Michigan and Indiana will likely fill in for Russia in the movie.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is expected in theaters on July 1, 2011.
