‘Sherlock Holmes 2’ filming underway in the U.K.

Filming for Sherlock Holmes 2 is well underway in the U.K.

So far, the movie’s stars, Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, have been spotted filming scenesĀ  in London’s Richmond Park, which was said to be staged as a “19th century gypsy camp.”

And even though principal photography just started on October 18, RDJ has already taken a break from the shoot to promote his latest movie, Due Date. At the movie’s London premiere he admitted that he and Sherlock Holmes’ director Guy Ritchie can get pretty aggressive in-between scenes. “We’ve been going to Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) matches, and I went to Guy’s Ju Jistsu gym, and my wife [Susan] has to watch us like, stop the script rehearsal and start sparring in the car. It’s embarrassing,” Downey explained.

Robert also told the press that he’s grown quite fond of the U.K. Adding, “I wouldn’t be surprised if we do move to London. My wife Susan and I love it here, particularly at Guy’s country estate. It’s just like being at Disneyland.”

In addition to the U.K., Sherlock Holmes 2 will be filming in Switzerland, Paris and Salzburg, Austria.
