Tyler Perry’s ‘We The Peeples’ filming in Connecticut

Tyler Perry’s latest  film, We the Peeples, is currently filming in Connecticut which will fill in for various locations around New York State.

The Office’s Craig Robinson stars in the movie as Wade, a guy living in New York City who travels with  his girlfriend to see her wealthy, political family in Sag Harbor, MY. The movie also stars Kerry Washington, Kali Hawk, Tyler James Williams, David Alan Grier, S. Epatha Merkerson, Malcolm Barrett, Diahann Carroll, Melvin Van Peebles and Kimrie Lewis-Davis. Tyler Perry is producing the film but hasn’t been on set yet, though he is expected to stop by at some point before the wrap.

Even though the movie is set in New York, the majority of the shoot is taking place in Connecticut.

Upcoming locations include the Rowayton Market in Rowayton, CT and Pinkney Park. Filming will continue in the area (Rowayton, Norwalk, Greenwich and Stamford) through Dec. 24.

Today, We The Peeples (whose production signs read WTP) is filming at Cove Beach in Stamford, CT.
