Awhile ago we mentioned that Kevin James was attached to an Untitled Project about Mixed Martial Arts, now we have an idea of where it might be filming.

According to a recent Facebook post, a local Boston TV station announced today that the new Kevin James film would be shot in Boston.

“We’ve got a movie coming to town. Confirmed/announced by Kevin James on WHDH-TV. He did not have start dates but probably early next year. Salma Hayek comes back to town, too.”

According to The Wrap, “James will play a physics teacher whose school is facing drastic budget cuts. In order to earn money to save his best friend’s job and the music program that his students hold dear, he moonlights as an MMA fighter, and ultimately winds up doing battle in the UFC.”

This is good news for Boston which has seen few filming projects since the Anna Faris comedy What’s Your Number? wrapped last summer. Boston also recently lost the film Adaline, which Katherine Heigl was briefly involved in, to Canada.

Stay tuned for more details about this film, and remember if you have any filming news to share, you can always let us know about it at olv@onlocationvacations.com!
