Recently, we’ve seen lots of pictures of Jim Carrey on the set of Mr. Popper’s Penguins in New York City, but this is our first peek at the movie’s penguins! The photos were taken by Brando, who also got to meet Carrey on set while they filming near the Guggenheim a couple of weeks ago. In the movie, Carrey plays the iconic children’s book character, Mr. Popper, who always wanted to see Poles and one day, in response to a fan letter, receives a penguin from Admiral Drake. Eventually, the Popper home grows to include 12 penguins who become “Mr. Popper’s Performing Penguins, First Time on Any Stage, Direct from the South Pole.”
This week, Carrey is filming at the Staten Island Zoo with dozens of real penguins!
