According to the University of Michigan Film Office, U-M may be used as one of the locations for The Five Year Engagement, starring Jason Segel and Emily Blunt.

According to the Lee Doyle, director of the school’s film office, they are interested in filming at the school, but nothing is certain yet. “We are 99 percent sure, but we don’t know until the location release is signed. But they do seem interested,” Doyle said.

We also spoke to Kay Seaser in the Ann Arbor Film Office who confirmed the film’s interest in shooting in Ann Arbor but also reiterated that it was not a done deal yet. “I can confirm they are scouting the Ann Arbor area for locations to film Five Year Engagement, other than that, I am not at liberty to confirm any additional information at this time,” Seaser said. She did add that there may be more details, or maybe even a confirmation, as early as next week, so stay tuned!
