Though nothing has been confirmed, it looks like a new series, Boss, starring Kelsey Grammer, will likely be shot in Chicago this spring. In the show, Kelsey will play a fictional Chicago mayor who discovers (and keeps secret) the fact he is suffering from a degenerative mental condition.
Starz has ordered eight episodes of the series with Gus Van Sant on board to direct the pilot.
Also, the new Fox series Playboy has set up a production office in Chicago. The show stars Amber Heard and Natari Naughton as two Palyboy bunnies working at Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Club i the early 1960s.
