Last week we had two separate reports about the upcoming Ryan Reynolds/Zach Galifianakis flick R.I.P.D., about a murdered cop who is recruited to work in the Rest in Peace Department, a police force comprised of ghosts who battle spirits unready to depart this world.
First, we reported that it looked like the movie would be shot in Boston this summer. Then, we received an update straight from the horse’s mouth (in this case executive producer, Peter Lenkov) who told us when it came to filming in Boston, “That’s not my understanding.”
But this week, Peter admitted he may have spoken too soon, tweeting, “looks like Boston WILL be seeing some afterlife ass kicking soon.”
So, R.I.P.D. will be shooting in Boston after all!
