“Bond 23” Filming Begins in November

Judi Dench has revealed that she is set to reprise her role as “M”, in the as-yet-untitled 23rd James Bond film. Production is slated for this November, and will be directed by Sam Mendes (‘American Beauty’).

“I am going to do the next Bond in November,” Dench says, “I don’t know the location yet but hopefully it will be somewhere nice. I can’t tell you much more but I do enjoy playing ‘M’ as she is such a strong character. I like being bossy and my grandson thinks its cool that I’m in Bond.”

Mendes will work with a script from Neal Purvis (‘Quantum of Solace’), Robert Wade (‘Die Another Day’) and John Logan (‘Rango’). Daniel Craig will return to play the title character. Ralph Fiennes (‘The Hurt Locker) and Javier Bardem (‘No Country for Old Men’), meanwhile, are in talks to appear as villains.

Bond 23 (working title) is set to hit theaters on November 9th, 2012.
