‘Here Comes The Boom’ filming on a “green” set

Here Comes The Boom, which is currently filming in Quincy, MA, isn’t just a funny movie, its a green one too.

The set of the Kevin James film has been designed to reduce waste and be more eco-friendly.

Plastic water bottles and non-biodegradable paper cups have been banned while costumes are sent to an environmentally-friendly dry-cleaner. They have also made several sets using sustainable bamboo.

A production spokesperson recently said, “We strive to reduce waste and recycle as much as possible. Eliminating water bottles reduces the transportation of those bottles and excess waste after use. Similarly, dry cleaning, energy generation and sustainable lumber are a focus due to their supply chain impacts.”

It’s great to hear about an entire production that is trying to help the planet, hopefully more films will adopt the same practice!
