Residents of Lefroy and Belle Ewart, ON are getting the chance to experience a bit of Hollywood magic right in their backyard.
Production crews for Reel Love, starring LeAnn Rimes and Burt Reynolds, have been filming in the area all week.
Rimes plays a successful woman who returns to her small home town due to a family emergency and ends up finding love. The movie is being produced for TV.
“It’s a father/daughter reconciliation story, with a blush of fresh romance and a backdrop of bass fishing,” said producer Kevin May. “It’s been a few years since I’ve done a long format (full length movie) project. It’s a nice change of pace, and certainly very exciting to be working with performers of the calibre of (Rimes) and Reynolds. My mom is so jealous.”
In the movie Lefroy will fill in for a small town in Alabama where Rimes’ character’s family owns a marina.
Filming will continue in the area until May 20 with most being shot around the Lefroy Arena.

If the movie is “set” in Alabama why did.they.film in Canada???!!! Alabama is beautiful and has plenty of marinas at which to film. Just sayin if your gonna use our name then use our people and site!
canada offers lots of film incentives so they can film there cheaper
