The 2011 Maui Film Festival, which will take place between June 15th and 19th, has its first honoree, Olivia Wilde.
Wilde will be on hand to accept the festival’s Female Shining Star Award for her work in recent films like Tron: Legacy and The Next Three Days.
The 12th annual Maui Film Festival will be held at the Castle Theater at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, Wailea Gold and Emerald golf courses, as well as other Wailea locations.
Wilde will also screen Sun City Picture House, a new film she co-produced with actress Maria Bello which chronicles their work rebuilding a movie theater following the 2010 earthquake that devastated Haiti.
Last year the fest honored Zac Efron, surfing producer-director Taylor Steele, and actress Malin Akerman.
