‘Gambit’ shoot moves to New Mexico

The Coen Brothers have returned to New Mexico for their latest film, Gambit.

The movie, which stars Colin Firth, Cameron Diaz, Alan Rickman and Sir Tom Courtenay, has been shooting in London for several weeks but recently moved to New Mexico where they will wrap up filming.

Gambit was recently spotted filming at the Wild Pony on NM 314 in Los Lunas, NM. Additional filming is expected to take place in and around Carrizozo, Galisteo, Laguna Pueblo, Rio Rancho and Socorro.

In the film Firth plays Harry Deane, who has a plan to con England’s richest man and avid art collector, Lionel Shabandar, played by Rickman, into purchasing a fake Monet and recruits a Texas rodeo queen, played by Diaz, to help him.

Joel and Ethan Coen also recently shot No Country For Old Men and True Grit in New Mexico.

  1. Thank you for all this info.. I just wish we could get a glimpse of Colin Firth. If I did, my life would be complete. He’s the perfect man, brilliant, handsome, compassionate, has class and he’s a human rights activist. AND a great actor..
How do find out where we can eavesdrop on filming in Rio Rancho or Albuq?
