Here’s some serious travel inspiration for fans of The Hobbit!
According to a local paper in New Zealand, where they are currently filming The Hobbit, the production company is looking for 200 people to play townspeople and elves in a scene for the movie which will be shot in the Twizel region of New Zealand in late November/December.
For townspeople they are looking for men and women between the ages of 30 and 80 with “interesting character faces” and men with beards. “All shapes, sizes and ethnicities welcome,” the studio said. For elves, they are looking for people between 17 and 35 with a height of more than 168cm.
The casting calls will take place this week at the Wanaka St John training rooms on September 23; Twizel Events Centre and Tekapo Community Hall on September 24; and Oamaru Opera House Empire Room on September 25.
Even if you aren’t a huge fan of The Hobbit, it still sounds pretty cool and it definitely makes us want to catch the next flight to New Zealand!
