Though the ABC Family series The Lying Game is set at the fictitious Arroyo High School in Phoenix, AZ, the show is actually filmed in Austin, making it one of the only full-time series shooting in Texas this season (the other big one being TNT’s Dallas).
On Saturday, Beth Sepko Casting held an open casting call for “new faces” in the Austin area who can appear on the show as extras or in select recurring roles.
“What we specifically need on ‘The Lying Game’ are people who look like they can play high school students,” Sepko said. “A lot of the main characters on the show right now are actors in their early to mid-twenties playing younger roles.”
The series is based at Austin Studios but also frequently shoots on location at various venues around Austin including The University of Texas at Austin.
If you missed last weekend’s open casting call but are still interested in applying to be an extra, you can email your photo and resume to: thirdcoastextras@gmail.com. For more information on becoming an extra on The Lying Game, visit Beth Sepko’s Facebook page.

Would love to take my grandaughter to Texas to see a taping of The Lying Game this summer. She is going to be 16 and she absolutely LOVES the show. She is a beautiful, fabulous, kind and undemanding teenager and I would love to give her something she would remember the rest of her life. Any help or information you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Hope to hear from you soon, Grandma Betty
