Warner Bros. & the Mayor’s Office thanks New Yorkers for hosting the filming of ‘New Year’s Eve’

In an effort to thank New Yorkers for hosting the film’s production in their neighborhoods, the New York City Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment and Warner Bros., held a special advanced screening of New Year’s Eve.

New Year’s Eve filming locations in NYC including Times Square, Alice Tully Hall, Columbus Circle and the Fulton Ferry Landing.

With 200 films shot on location in NYC each year, the screening was organized to thank residents for hosting production and to remind them that the local entertainment industry employs 100,000 New Yorkers who work behind the cameras. Tom Cerio, executive vice president for Warner Bros. Home Distribution, thanked the packed audience for being gracious hosts. “There’s nothing like shooting in New York,” he said.

Before the film started, Warner Bros. shared the following message on the screen: “We appreciate your cooperation and patience during the production of this film. We understand that filming interrupts your daily lives and are grateful that you and your neighbors have welcomes us to your great city. Thank you for your continued support.”
