Justin Timberlake takes a break from filming ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ to appear on ‘SNL’

Last night Justin Timberlake was still sporting a beard, which we can now assume is for his role in the Coen Brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis, when he made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live.

Inside Llewyn Davis has been filming in and around New York City for the past two weeks. On Tuesday, the Coen Bros. gave the block surrounding 77 East Second Street a 1960s Greenwich Village makeover, including vintage cars, signs, and garbage cans.

Thursday, the shoot moved to the New Rochelle, NY City Hall where Justin and his co-star John Goodman were spotted filming in the rotunda.

And on Friday, they shot scenes at the East Village restaurant Zi’ Pep which was made to look like a ’60s folk club.

In addition to Justin and John, the film stars Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Garrett Hedlund, and F. Murray Abraham. Isaac plays the title role, a musician trying to make it in the 1960s Greenwich Village folk scene, which explains the elaborate vintage sets.

During JT’s appearance on SNL, he played Bon Iver paying a visit to Beyonce and Jay-Z’s new baby girl. He also appeared with host Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler in their popular Bronx Beat skit which you can check out above.
