The Warren Files, formerly known as The Conjuring, will begin filming in Wilmington, North Carolina this week.
The movie, which is being directed by James Wan, will primarily be filmed at the EUE/Screen Gems Studios in Wilmington.
The story was inspired by paranormal events which took place in a Rhode Island farmhouse. The events were investigated by Ed and Loraine Warren who helped the home’s owners, the Perron family, battle the spirits. The production is reportedly building a replica of the house on their sound stages.
Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will play the Warrens, while the Perrons will be portrayed by Ron Livingston and Lili Taylor.
Joey King (who will appear in The Dark Knight Rises this summer) and Mackenzie Foy (who wil play Renesmee Cullen, in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2) will play the Perrons’ kids.
Hayley McFarland and Shanley Caswell also star.
According to a recent casting call the movie will definitely be filming tomorrow in Wilmington. VanessaN Casting is handling the extras casting, to see the latest casting calls for the film, you can visit their page on Facebook.
