19th ANNUAL MMPA STUDENT FILMMAKERS SCHOLARSHIP LUNCHEON AND AWARDS

The Multicultural Motion Picture Association will recognize the seven student filmmaker finalists. Octavia Spencer is expected to attend.

WOMEN IN FILM

Cecconi’s

A cocktail reception for the female nominees at the 5th anniversary, hosted by Cathy Schulman (President of WIF) and Gwyneth Paltrow.

A pre-Oscar dinner

Barbara Hays’ Hancock Park residence

Reception for the British nominees.

WARNER BROS. PARTY

Soho House

A private soiree for their nominees.

A toast to Martin Scorsese and the Film Foundation.

WME’s PARTY

Ari Emmanuel’s Brentwood home

Set in a tent outside the super-agent’s home, Rooney Mara, Jonah Hill, Octavia Spencer and Martin Scorsese are expected.

CAA’s PARTY

Bryan Lourd’s Beverly Hills home

Studio execs mingle with CAA clients such as George Clooney, Meryl Streep and Brad Pitt.

UTA’s PARTY

Jim Berkus’ Beverly Hills home

Jim Berkus and Tracey Jacobs host. Expect clients such as Johnny Depp, the Coen brothers, Kristen Wiig to stop in.

The society hosts it’s annual afternoon reception for the music nominees.

INDEPENDENT SPIRIT AWARDS

In a tent adjacent to the beach in south Santa Monica

The daytime party is a host to indie film actors from across the map. The laid-back event doesn’t require black-tie get-ups or formal seating.

THE WEINSTEIN COMPANY

Soho House

Expect The Weinstein Company’s nominees — Jean Dujardin, Meryl Streep, Michelle Williams, Kenneth Brannagh – to attend.

The A-list event also raises money for the Motion Picture and Television Fund.

Sunday, Feb. 26

GOVERNORS BALL

Upstairs from the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland

The Academy’s official after-party for 1,500 guests. Look for a more laid-back atmosphere this year, as table seating will be replaced with couches and lounging areas.

Cat Cora is cooking up the five-course meal at the 20th anniversary of the musician’s party. Foster the People will perform.
