’42’, starring Harrison Ford, is holding an Open Casting Call for baseball players this weekend

As we’ve reported, the movie 42, starring Chadwick Boseman as baseball legend Jackie Robinson and Harrison Ford as the baseball executive who signed Robinson, is gearing up to begin filming in Chattanooga, TN and Atlanta, GA, and they are still looking for crew members and extras.

This weekend they will be holding an open casting call for experienced baseball players. The film needs “experienced baseball players ages 25-38″ for some upcoming scenes. The open call will be held on March 27 and 28, followed by an on-field tryout for those chosen.

To apply, first visit www.SportsStudioCasting.com and create a free profile and submit your profile for this specific casting call. Interviews will be held on March 27th and 28th at: 1888 Emery Street, Atlanta, GA. Baseball Players should stop by anytime between 9am-7pm, Umpires from 5pm-7pm.

To apply to be an extra for the film, send an email to CLCastingTN@gmail.com and include 3 pictures (one of your face and one of your entire body), your actual age, height, weight, and contact information.

    I am interested in being one of your assistance in the new movie as one of the cast baseball players for the upcoming Jackie Robinson movie 42. I am aware that the casting call date has already past but I am still interested, I was drafted in 1995 by Boston Red socks have a Texas Louisiana League Champion in 2000, I also casted in Trouble With The Curve with Clint Eastwood. I was unable to make it for the casting call because I was at a baseball central league try out. I have always wanted to be in’ movies’,i take instruction well,don’t goof off in serious time’s ,like people want them to like me,i am a happy go lucky person,i have deep feelings for others ,all this i have learned from things growing up ,happy,sad,dramatic,or whatever,very versatile,easy to work with.

  4. I auditioned for the movie”42″….would love to be in the movie!!! I have experience in acting! I would love to be cast as an extra or any part available. I hope very much to be called!!!
