Detroit might need Robocop, but it’s Toronto that’s getting him.
According to the Toronto Film and Television Office, the upcoming Robocop reboot will begin filming in the city in September and will be based at Pinewood Toronto Studios, Port Lands, Toronto.
The Killing‘s Joel Kinnaman has landed the lead role in the movie about a a cop who, near death, is turned into an indestructible crime-fighting machine, and then begins to remember his past life.
Abbie Cornish, Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, and Hugh Laurie will also star in the movie.
