Central Casting New York Holding Open Casting Call on August 15, 2012

Central Casting is holding an Open Registration for non-speaking background work (extras) on films, TV shows, and commercials on Wednesday, August 15, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m for SAG-AFTRA members, and 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. for non-union.

The Casting Call will be held at 875 6th Ave. 24th Floor, New York, NY 10001 (Entrance on 31st St just past Starbucks).

All Union (SAG-AFTRA) and Non-Union men and women who have NEVER REGISTERED with Central Casting and are 18 years and older are welcome to apply. They are especially looking for those who can portray East Indian, Middle Eastern, Asian, upscale Hispanic types, NYPD with uniforms, supermodel types, hipsters, people with tattoos, and business types.

If you are a U.S. Citizen you need an unexpired U.S. passport or an unexpired driver’s license AND a social security card with you at the registration. An original birth certificate may be substituted for a social security card.

If you are a permanent resident or an alien authorized to work you need to bring your Permanent Resident Card or an Employment Authorization Card with “None” under terms and conditions. If your Employment Authorization has something stated under terms and conditions you must also have an I-20 form that pertains to the field of acting. Photocopies will not be accepted.

You should arrive at the registration dressed how you would like to be portrayed, i.e. business people in suits, hipsters in vintage clothing or your normal everyday style. Please come dressed and ready to take your pictures.

All jobs booked through Central Casting are paid.
