With high profile project like We’re The Millers and Iron Man 3 filming around town, Wilmington, N.C. has become one of the country’s hottest filming locations for filmmakers and movie fans.
One of Wilmington’s residents, Lewis “Lew” Musser, has taken advantage of the interest in Wilmington’s filming locations in recent years by hosting the Hollywood Location Walk of Old Wilmington.
The tour, which is run out of the Black Cat Shoppe on Market Street, focuses primarily on Dawson’s Creek and One Tree Hill filming locations (sounds like my type of tour!) though he does also provide info on just about every other film or TV show that’s ever been shot in Wilmington.
“It’s a renaissance, having all of these movies here now,” Musser said. “In just a few blocks, you can see what a dynamic effect that the film industry has had on business in Wilmington.”
The tour cost $12 for adults. To check out the schedule or learn more, visit hollywoodnc.com.
