Back in August we started our “How to Bag a Celebrity” series with a NYC edition.
Well, last week, I published the next two installments, How to Meet Celebrities in L.A. and How to Meet Celebrities at Sundance on eHow.com.
Here are a couple highlights from both:
L.A.
-Find out when and where celebrities are filming in Los Angeles. Most movies and TV shows are filmed on closed stages, but do film on location in and around the city on occasion. Common filming locations include downtown L.A., the Santa Monica Pier and Griffith Park. (Of Course OLV can help you find out where movies are filming!)
-Look for paparazzi. Whereever there is a big star wandering the streets of L.A., there will also be a crowd of photographers following behind, hoping to get that great shot. If you see a celebrity in Los Angeles, politely introduce yourself and ask for a photo or autograph, then excuse yourself once you are done.
Sundance
-Hang out on Main Street. Celebrities are going from parties to interviews to swag events up and down the street all day long. The best way to meet celebrities at Sundance is to simply walk along Main Street. The most popular stops on Main for stars include Fred Segal and Delta’s Sky360 Lounge.
-Attend movie premieres. Often premieres are sold out, but even if you don’t have a ticket, go anyway. Sometimes stand-by tickets are available. Most film premieres will have a red carpet entrance for the stars. Usually, fans can wait near the carpet and have the chance to meet celebrities as they come in.
