Ebertfest will go on as planned in Illinois on April 17- 21 despite Roger Ebert’s death

Despite Roger Ebert’s death, his film festival will go on planned.

This year’s line-up for the Ebertfest, taking place April 17-21 in Champaign, IL, will include Jack Black (Bernie), Tilda Swinton (Julia), director Randy Moore (Escape From Tomorrow), director of photography Haskell Wexler (Days of Heaven) and Shailene Woodley (The Spectacular Now).

“All of us at Ebertfest are very saddened by the news of our dear friend Roger’s passing,” fest organizers said in a statement. “He was a remarkable man who influenced journalists and film lovers the world over.”

Festival Passes cost $145 and are on sale at www.thevirginia.org or at Bresnan Meeting Center, 706 Kenwood Rd., Champaign IL.
