This week Nicolas Cage began filming his next action-packed film, Tokarev, in Mobile, Alabama.
The movie follows a “reformed criminal who comes home to find that his daughter has been kidnapped by the Russian mob. He rounds up his old crew and seeks his own brand of justice.”
So far, Tokarev has been spotted filming in downtown Mobile, around Royal and Conti Streets and outside the Mobile Convention Center where they filmed a large explosion scene on Tuesday night.
According to a press release, the Alabama Film Incentives program was the primary reason why producers chose to shoot the movie in Mobile.
