Fan photos from the 2013 Tony Awards

On Sunday night the biggest stars of Stage, Film, and Television came together at NYC’s legendary Radio City Music Hall for the Tony Awards.

This was a return to the historic venue after spending the past two years at the Beacon Theatre. It also meant the return of hundreds of fans to line the streets around Radio City hoping to catch a glimpse of the stars as the arrive.

One of our contributors, Denise, was among the masses and said that it was challenging to actually see much action between the press, fans, traffic and non-stop parade of buses passing by, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t worth it. She said, “the best stars were Cyndi Lauper and Cuba Gooding Jr. Cyndi stood across the street and waved to us for a while and Cuba actually hopped up on an SUV and did a dance on top of the car! He was definitely the most entertaining!”

RL, who is also a regular OLV reader, was there too and had slightly better luck scoring a good spot among the crowd and was able to see most of the stars heading into the show.

Below are a few of Denise’s shots of Tom Hanks, Mike Tyson, Cube Gooding Jr, Matthew Morrison, Steven Van Zandt, Cyndi Lauper, Jane Lynch, Bernadette Peters, and Richard Kind.

And here are RL’s pics of Sally Field, Alan Cumming, Andrew Rannells, Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance, Annaleigh Ashford, Audra Mcdonald, Kathleen Turner, Bernadette Peters, Beth Behrs, Cyndi Lauper, Holland Taylor, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jane Krakowski, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Judith Light, Martha Plimpton, Sigourney Weaver, Stephanie J. Block, Sienna Miller, Scarlett Johansson, Nathan Lane, Mike Tyson, Megan Hilty, Tom Hanks, Tony Shalhoub, and Zachary Quinto,

We love to highlight events like the Tonys because they are a fun way for fans to see their favorite celebrities, as long as they don’t mind a crowd, and the best part is it’s free! 1. Unfortunately, Stevie Ray Vaughn passed away 23 years ago. That’s E Street Band lead guitarist Steven Van Zandt (aka, Little Steven, Miami Steve, The Sopranos’ Silvio Dante, etc.)
