‘A Million Ways To Die In The West’ spotted filming in Monument Valley

One of our readers, Ty, was on a tour of Monument Valley earlier this week when he got an expected bonus- a look at the set of Seth MacFarlane’s A Million Ways To Die In The West.

According to Ty, they were filming at John Ford Point and his tour guide said it was one of the biggest productions he’d ever seen in the area.

Yesterday, Seth MacFarlane also tweeted this beautiful photo he took from the set.

Monument Valley has a rich movie history and also recently hosted Transformers 4.

A Million Ways To Die In The West, co-written and directed by MacFarlane, tells the story of farmer whose girlfriend leaves him after he backs out of a gunfight just as a mysterious woman rides into town and falls in love with him causing her outlaw husband to seek revenge.

Before moving to Utah, the movie also spent several months filming around Santa Fe, NM.

Thanks to Ty for the info!
