Quentin Tarantino is preparing for The Hateful Eight and he wants to film it in Colorado.

The Economic Development Commission of Colorado recently approved $5 million in film incentives for the Western.
Colorado film commissioner Donald Zuckerman said Tarantino is scouting the Schmid Ranch, just outside Telluride, for the shoot. “What’s fabulous about this is everyone’s been saying Colorado is perfect for a Western, and this is a Western,” Zuckerman said.

According to IMDb, The Hateful Eight is set “In post-Civil War Wyoming as bounty hunters try to find shelter during a blizzard but get involved in a plot of betrayal and deception.”
Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Madsen, and Kurt Russell have all signed on to star.
