It’s a big week for Star Wars fans – not only have advance sale tickets for The Force Awakens been released just in time for the new trailer to debut, but now fans can hitch a ride with R2-D2 on their next flight to Japan.
Japan’s largest airline, ANA, has just unveiled a series of Star Wars-themed jets including a R2-D2 jet that took its first flight to Vancouver over the weekend.
The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner features the Star Wars logo, and images of the famous droid on everything from the cups to the headrests.
“We’re thrilled to unveil the designs of our new Star Wars-themed planes, and I’m sure fans across the world will love the look,” said ANA CEO Osamu Shinobe.
ANA will also be flying the plane to San Jose, Seattle, Sydney, Munich and Paris. It is the first airline to offer all six Star Wars films on-board its international flights, too.
