As we continue our series explaining how extras get those awesome roles on their favorite TV shows, it’s a good time to share the deets about becoming an extra on one of TV’s biggest hits, The Blacklist.
The first thing to know to be an extra (on any show) is that you need to live in close proximity to where the show is filmed – in the case of The Blacklist, that means you must live in or around New York City.
Next, you need to know which agency handles casting for the series which for The Blacklist, and many other shows filmed in NYC like SVU and Blue Bloods, is Central Casting New York.
To apply for any of Central’s casting calls you first have to register with them in their office. You can find all of the instructions and their office hours at centralcasting.com.
Next, you’ll want to follow Central Casting’s Facebook page to see all of their latest casting calls and look for one that you might fit.
