With Gilmore Girls:Seasons in production, we’ve had fans from around the world reach out as they plan their own on location vacations to the show’s set on the Warner Bros. Lot and other Gilmore Girls destinations.
It got us thinking that the best kept secret in Gilmore Girls travel might be the Ogunquit Playhouse in Ogunquit, ME. Every summer Sally Struthers – who played Lorelai’s beloved neighbor Babette on Gilmore Girls and is confirmed to be returning for the Winter episode of the reboot – stars in a live production at the Playhouse.
In 2015, Struthers starred alongside another TV legend, Valerie Harper, in a production of Nice Work If You Can Get It. Though the casts of the 2016 productions haven’t been announced yet, we’re confident Struthers will be back on the roster!
Hear Sally explain why she returns to Ogunquit every summer in the video below:
While you’re in Ogunquit, you can also check out Barnacle Billy’s in nearby Perkins Cove, one of Lorelai Gilmore’s favorite restaurants.
Better yet, walk there via the Marginal Way – a public, paved path along the shoreline that starts in Ogunquit and ends in Perkins Cove.
