Mark Wahlberg’s new movie chronicling the Boston Marathon bombings and aftermath begins filming this month and Boston Casting is looking for extras for a few key scenes.
An Open Casting Call for Patriots’ Day will be held on Sunday, March 13 from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM at Boston Casting’s offices. They are specifically looking for Police Officers, SWAT Team, Firefighters, Doctors, Nurse, Paramedics and Marathon Runners, in addition to general background actors.
The movie stars J.K. Simmons as Watertown, MA police Sgt. Jeffrey Pugliese, who had a key role in the shootout. Wahlberg, who is producing the film, will also star as a “composite” Boston police officer central tot he manhunt.
Filming is scheduled to take place March 29 – May 31 in and around Boston. Patriots’ Day is currently building sets at the Centennial Park warehouse, formerly US Foods on Technology Drive in Peabody, MA which they will use as their studio.
