With more than two dozen projects filming in Atlanta, GA at any given time, it is no surprise that another highly anticipated movie is headed there this summer.
We’re hearing Zombieland 2 will begin filming in the city in mid-August.
The sequel to the 2009 movie is expected to reunite the movie’s four main characters, Tallahassee, Columbus, Wichita, and Little Rock, played by Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin, respectively.
Earlier this month, Sony unveiled the movie’s logo at CinemaCon, along with the logos for Blade Runner 2 and Bad Boys III, but didn’t provide much more for fans who’ve been waiting seven years for a follow up. But, the logo presentation did confirm that the movie is in the works, with original director Ruben Fleischer. The script is being written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese (Zombieland, Deadpool), alongside Dave Callahan (The Expendables Trilogy).
