As has already been widely reported, production for The Maze Runner: The Death Cure was shut down after the film’s star, Dylan O’Brien, suffered serious injuries in a set accident on March 18.
Last week, Fox released a statement explaining their decision to halt filming, saying, “The resumption of principal photography on Maze Runner: The Death Cure has been further delayed to allow Dylan O’Brien more time to fully recover from his injuries. We wish Dylan a speedy recovery and look forward to restarting production as soon as possible.”
Today, one of our Vancouver contacts is reporting the movie won’t be happening at all, due to O’Brien’s ongoing surgeries and the pregnancy of another cast member:
Maze Runner news – a female lead is preggers and Dylan O’B is undergoing facial reconstruction and the movie is cancelled. @olv #yvrshoots

Of course, FOX isn’t confirming the statement but, if the report is true, it does seem like it’ll be difficult for the production to get back on track.
Looks like we’ll all have to stay tuned on this one…
