Matt Bomer is taking a break from filming Anything with Mark Ruffalo in Los Angeles to promote The Nice Guys in NYC.

The Nice Guys stars Ryan Gosling as Holland March, a down-on-his-luck private eye in 1977 Los Angeles. Russell Crowe co-stars as Jackson Healy, a hired enforcer who hurts people for a living. Fate turns them into unlikely partners after a young woman named Amelia (Margaret Qualley) mysteriously disappears. Healy and March soon learn the hard way that other dangerous people are also looking for Amelia. Their investigation leads to some dark places as anyone else who gets involved in the case seems to wind up dead. Matt plays John Boy opposite Gosling and Crowe in the film.

This morning, Matt appeared with Gosling on GMA and is scheduled to be on Live! with Kelly and Michael tomorrow, May 13, which will also mark Michael Strahan’s last day on the show. On Friday, Matt will appear on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Note: Both shows sometimes tape Friday’s episode ahead of time.

Tonight, there will be a special screening of The Nice Guys at The Metrograph.

Not in NYC? You can check out The Nice Guys in a theater near you on May 20.
