This week, producer Simon Kinberg confirmed Wolverine 3 has begun filming in New Orleans, which means the movie is also busy looking for extras in the area.
Central Casting Louisiana has posted several casting calls for Juarez, Wolverine 3’s working title, including one today that is looking for mourners.
**Mourners **Wednesday 5/25***Covington Area***
Mourners: Looking for men and women of all ages who appear to be Hispanic, to portray mourners at a funeral. This films Wednesday, May 25th in the Covington Area and requires a wardrobe fitting on Tuesday, May 17th in New Orleans. Must be able to do BOTH fitting & filming.
If you are available, please send current photo(s), name & phone number to Juarez@CentralCasting.com and put “MOURNER” in the subject line.
James Mangold, who directed The Wolverine, is returning for the movie that is rumored to follow the Old Man Logan comic book story where Logan (Hugh Jackman) begins to age after losing his mutant powers. This theory is based in part on a tidbit Kinberg shared in which he teased that “it’s a very radical, bold, different Wolverine than you’ve ever seen in any of these movies”. Adding, “it takes place in the future, and as you and others have reported, it is an R-rated movie. It’s violent, it’s kind of like a western in its tone. It’s just a very cool, different film”.
A March 3, 2017 release date has been set for Wolverine 3.
Be on the lookout for Wolverine 3 filming in and around New Orleans (especially on Covington, LA in a couple of weeks!) and let us know if you spot them via email at olv@onlocationvacations.com!
