When people think about a park in New York, Central Park usually comes to mind. It is, indeed, the most filmed location in the city.
There are, however, other beautiful parks that have featured in many movies as well. One of them is Riverside Park, by the Hudson River, from spreading from 72nd to 125th Streets.
It has been featured in some movies and TV shows. Perhaps the most famous one is “You’ve Got Mail”, during the final scene of the movie, when Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan meet just in front of the 91st Street garden inside the park.
The movie “The Warriors”(1979) was also shot in the Park, even though it is standing for Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx.
It is also the location of the rugby game in the Friends episode “The One with All the Rugby“, where Ross plays with Emily’s friends, Liam and Devon.
The Riverside Park tends to be much quieter than other parks in the city and it has a great view of New Jersey.
