Most Travel-Inspiring Movie of the 2010s

Each decade hundreds of movies are filmed in Los Angeles but, rarely, does the city launch an entire tourism campaign around one of them. In 2016, Discover Los Angeles made an exception to this rule when it launched a campaign inspired by the Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling movie La La Land.

The movie also inspired thousands of fans to visit Los Angeles, more than just about any movie before it. This is why we’re declaring it the most travel-inspiring movie of the decade.

The Discover L.A. campaign focused on the movie’s most iconic Los Angeles, including The Lighthouse CafĂ© in Hermosa Beach, the Hermosa Pier, the Grand Central Market, Griffith Observatory and The Smokehouse Restaurant. The site also acts as a portal to find related venues and attractions around the city. Check it out at discoverlosangeles.com/lalaland.
